I have been in love with horizontal stripes for sometime now. I knew that I wanted them to liven up my powder bath but I must admit, I was terrified. The measuring didn't bother me but I had heard stories about walls not being level/straight, etc.

I did run into a few spots were the measurements seemed totally off. Since I'm not a "do it the right way" kind of girl, I just eye balled it! Yep, I sure did!

I saw the technique on Pinterest and went with it. The paint color is actually the EXACT same color on both stripes but one is a High Gloss and the original wall color was just a semi-gloss. The bottom stripe is the original wall color and the lighter looking stripe is the gloss.

I love how it turned out and it was relatively painless. I did it all by myself. The measuring is what took the longest. I love the punch that it gives the powder bath. I think it really amps it up a notch.
wowweeeee....i LOOOOOOVE it!!! you did such a great job!! and I'd NEVER guess those are the exact same colors! how funny! =) great job friend!
